Mc COY SURFBOARDS

I USED TO RIDE Mc COYS BACK IN THE DAY, JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS TRIED THE SINGLE FIN VERSIONS OF THESE AND HOW GO THEY?????

  1. I ride the a 5'10" McCoy Astron Zot single fin in small waves, I prefer to use the star fin in it which seems to give it more drive and stability. These are actually a very high performance board not to be confused with a cruisy retro single fin that are fashionable. Geoff has the single fin dialled as he has been an advocate of the single since forever. It is weird to think that in my quiver a single fin is the most high performance board for tiny waves who would have thought. It sits high on the water as they are ridden thick and love to be constantly turned, but with the wide round tail the turns are short arced but still curved, not squared off like most boards tend to. These boards are like a pinball they want to bank and turn and float over white water, good clean fun, from waves that don't offer much.
